As parents, we take on the role of being cheerleaders for our kids.
But, we tend to forget we need someone in our corner, too. It’s important to have family and friends who support your goals.
That’s what my husband has been doing for me lately. He challenged me to take my blog to the next level.
It’s important to have people not only encourage your skills, but give you the extra push to make it happen. Sometimes other people are better at telling you what you are good at than you are.
It’s easy to set your personal task mode to cruise and keep going along through life at the same rate (in your comfort zone). But it’s important to step outside those boundaries every now and then. We were advertised with more horsepower. So we all need to push the pedal to the metal and see what we are really capable of.
I don’t have just one resolution for 2015, but I’ve decided that this is the year I am going to try to push myself outside of auto pilot.
I encourage you to come along with me. The negative thoughts inside your head are self-inflicted doubts. In reality, there is nothing holding you back, but yourself.
If there’s something you have been putting off, or an opportunity you have thought you maybe weren’t good enough to do, just bite the bullet and take a swing at it.
It’s time to take charge and see what you can accomplish. I’ve always found that even failures in life, are not really problems. Winning and losing, is all about learning and challenging yourself for bigger feats.
Challenge those around you as well.
This year, great things will happen, especially if we go to work on it now.
